Barnes(R) Pumps Announces New ProGrind(TM) Grinder Pump
Barnes Pumps Inc.* is introducing its new ProGrind(TM) Grinder Pump. With its innovative features and rugged, heavy-duty construction, this grinder pump offers outstanding reliability and performance.
Designed with the Barnes exclusive Quick-Connect Power Cord and adjustable legs, the ProGrind can be easily installed and cost-effectively maintained. A removable discharge flange also aids in efficient installation while a piggyback float switch eliminates the need for a control panel.
UL listed and CSA approved, the ProGrind also features the Slicerator(TM), a hardened stainless steel radial cutter and shredding ring which is reversible for extended cutting life. The staggered slicing action of the grinder radial cutter dramatically reduces the torque requirement of the motor as it cuts with less horsepower, thus increasing the pump's efficiency. This staggered slicing helps prevent clogging with such troublesome objects as plastic, rubber, sanitary napkins, disposable diapers and cloth items.
With flow rates to 55 gpm and heads to 104 ft, the new ProGrind pump also features an abrasion-resistant silicon carbide mechanical seal and built-in automatic resetting overload protection. A recessed vortex impeller design virtually eliminates pump damage from cavitation while a large pump end bearing and shorter overhang significantly extend mechanical seal life by minimizing shaft deflection.
