Second Generation Green Laser Modules Eight Times Brighter Than Red
BEA Lasers, Elk Grove Village, IL, has just announced the release of their new line of second generation super green laser diode modules. The super green makes these new units ideal for spectroscopy, particle measurement, medical tissue analysis, interferometry, and flow visualization, as well as many of the usual positioning capabilities.
The human eye perceives light from a green laser at a level eight times brighter than today's most common red laser diodes (at 650nm). The green laser light's significantly brighter than red output makes it an ideal replacement for HeNe lasers as a premium option for a variety of products in many applications.
BEA's second generation laser diode module offers an Automatic Power Control controlling power stability within ±3% utilizing its new light monitoring driver circuit. Older first generation units featured an Automatic Current Control yielding a stability of ± 20%.
