Graphics Board delivers soft edge blending via overlap support.

Press Release Summary:

Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards are available with PowerDesk Edge Overlap feature, which drives seamless images within setups comprised of up to 24 projectors by duplicating GPU's output edges. Fine detail of manipulating overlap at per-pixel level is managed via PowerDesk desktop management software. Overlap simplifies multi-projector setups whether projectors are in landscape or portrait mode and positioned in horizontal and/or vertically-stacked configurations.

Matrox Mura MPX Series' New Edge Overlap Feature Facilitates Multi-Projector Soft Edge Blending

Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards deliver seamless content over up to 24 edge-blending enabled projectors

Montreal, Canada - Now available with Matrox Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards, the Matrox PowerDesk Edge Overlap feature provides an easy, cost-effective solution designed to drive seamless images over multi-projector setups. Matrox Edge Overlap duplicates the GPU's output edges, allowing projector edges to be physically overlapped with one another. The fine detail of manipulating the number of overlapped pixels at a per-pixel level is managed via the Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software with easy-to-use controls. Working together with blending-enabled projectors that correct brightness where projected images overlap, Matrox Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards with Edge Overlap support are ideal for tiled projector setups in high resolution presentation, digital signage, and control room video wall environments.

Previously enabled on all Matrox M-Series graphics cards to drive up to 8 projectors from a single PCI Express slot, and also available as a feature on Matrox Extio F2208 and F2408 KVM extenders for customers looking to secure the PC in a separate location from the projectors, Matrox Edge Overlap simplifies multi-projector setups whether the projectors are in landscape or portrait mode and positioned in horizontal and/or vertically-stacked configurations. Enabling the Edge Overlap feature on Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards brings additional benefits, including multi-board support for greater scalability: up to 24 edge-overlapped projectors from a single system. Its unique board design also features universal input channel support, allowing Mura MPX customers to capture up to four 1920x1200 digital or analog video signals per board from a variety of devices and display them anywhere on the unified multi-projector display.

"The combination of Matrox Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards with the easy-to-use Matrox PowerDesk Edge Overlap feature is a valuable asset for AV professionals and integrators looking to produce sophisticated, yet affordable, imagery for small to large scale projection environments," says Helgi Sigurdsson, Product Manager, Matrox Graphics Inc.
