Graco Announces Complete Line of SaniForce 2.0 Equipment
New and redesigned sanitary equipment ideal for food, beverage, personal care and pharmaceutical applications
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Graco Inc. (NYSE:GGG), a leading manufacturer of fluid handling equipment, has launched the SaniForce® 2.0 line of new and redesigned sanitary equipment. The SaniForce 2.0 line includes container unloading equipment for evacuation of medium to high-viscosity materials, and food-grade, high-sanitation, large particle, 3A-certified and pharmaceutical-grade diaphragm pumps in both air and electric models. Systems are configurable to fit each customer’s unique needs. All SaniForce 2.0 equipment is FDA compliant with quick knockdown designs for easy cleaning and sanitizing.
“The idea behind the redesign and launch of the SaniForce 2.0 line was threefold: cleanliness, safety and ease of use,” said Jeff Shaffer, Graco’s Process Division Sales & Product Manager. “With the SaniForce 2.0 line, we strive to protect your entire process, from food safety to employee safety, easy sanitization, configurability and efficiency of automation to handling high viscosities without heating or diluting the materials.”
On SaniForce 2.0 unloading equipment, automated controls remove unnecessary worker interaction and automate the unload process. “We have seen some facilities manually scooping ingredients from drums,” said Shaffer. “Unloading systems are a superior alternative to manual scooping from an efficiency and ergonomic standpoint – and with a fully-sealed system, materials are not exposed to airborne contaminants.”
All SaniForce 2.0 diaphragm pumps are available with Graco’s signature overmolded diaphragms to eliminate crevices for harboring bacteria, and externally-serviceable air valves with fewer moving parts for quick, inexpensive repairs. “We made major steps to reduce clamps and crevices for food and bacteria to hide. That includes single-piece manifolds, improved fluid paths and rotatable stands for easy sanitation,” said Shaffer.
Another improvement on the SaniForce 2.0 line is the introduction of air and electric high-sanitation pumps designed to transfer large particles. These models can handle solids up to 3.8 inches in diameter without crushing or damaging the material. “The air and electric-operated versions of our large-particle pumps are ideal for transferring solids,” said Shaffer. “Meat and poultry, fruit filling materials and ice cream variegates are just a few of the materials that come to mind. There has been a huge push for electrically-operated pump technology as facilities look to decrease energy costs and reliance on compressed air. The electric pump models can reduce energy by up to 80 percent when compared to traditional air-operated diaphragm pumps.”
