Grabber's Exterior Screws Are RoHS Compliant
Alpine, UT — Grabber Construction Products, an international distributor of professional-grade fasteners and construction products, announces that its complete line of exterior GrabberGard® screws are RoHS compliant.
In January 2013, the UK's National Measurement Office (NMO) Enforcement Authority enacted the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (2011/65/EU). It restricts certain dangerous substances—such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr)—that are commonly used in electronic equipment.
Grabber doesn't use chromate in its exterior screws unless directed by the customer. The GrabberGard® coating is also low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) compliant.
