New Magellan RoadMate Brings the 'Big Screen' to Car Navigation

The New Magellan® RoadMate 1700 Combines Power-Packed GPS Features, a 7-inch Screen, and Ease of Use to Provide a Safe and Stylish Navigation Experience

NEW YORK and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 17 / / - Magellan, one of the leading GPS brands, today unveiled the new Magellan RoadMate 1700, the latest addition to its award-winning RoadMate series. Magellan will showcase this new product and its entire 2009 lineup at Pepcom's Holiday Spectacular media preview event in New York on September 17.

The new Magellan RoadMate 1700 is designed to better meet the needs of consumers who are seeking larger-sized displays and easy-to-use electronics. The 7-inch WVGA full-color display provides four times the standard screen resolution for better readability and increased safety on the roads. Like other 2009 Magellan models, Magellan's OneTouch user interface gives you instant access to your favorite addresses and searches.
