GPIB Controller for Low-Profile PCI Bus: LCPI-3488
Irvine, CA (February 15, 2005) - Based on the success of our PCI IEEE 488 controller card (PCI-3488), ADLINK Technology Inc. announces a new low-profile PCI bus GPIB interface controller, the LPCI-3488. The new LPCI-3488 is more compact in size to conform to the low-profile MD1 form factor. It is equipped with both standard PCI and low-profile PCI brackets so it fits into both standard and slim-type chassis. The LPCI-3488 is compliant to IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 standards and supports popular application development environments such as VB, VC, Delphi, LabVIEW and TestExec. It also features easy "drop-in" compatibility for existing test and measurement applications.
The LPCI-3488 is a 32-bit/33MHz PCI bus GPIB interface controller in low-profile PCI MD1 form factor. Its PCI interface supports both 3.3V and 5V PCI bus to make it suitable for most common desktop and industrial computers. Additionally, its 1KB on-board FIFO and CPLD high-speed bus control state machine gives it a maximum transfer rate of 1.5MB/s to satisfy large volume data transfer requirements between instruments and computers.
The LPCI-3488 supports Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/2003 and its driver library is compatible with NI-488.2* command sets. Programs written with NI-488.2 commands can be executed on the LPCI-3488. The LPCI-3488 also supports VISA library to work with existing instrument drivers.
