GLOBALedit Extends Creative Collaboration Through Integration with Apple Aperture

Plug-in expands photo production workflow across desktop and Web environments

NEW YORK, Oct. 18 / / -- Industrial Color, the leader in digital photo capture and online workflow software, today announced the availability of a GLOBALedit(TM) Export Plug-in for Apple(R) Aperture(TM). Available immediately, the GLOBALedit plug-in allows professional photographers using Aperture to share massive photo libraries and collaborate with creative teams via the Internet.

The GLOBALedit Export Plug-in for Aperture makes it easy for users to securely upload image collections from Aperture version 1.5 into GLOBALedit, Industrial Color's online digital workflow solution. Once uploaded to GLOBALedit, image collections are globally available for editing, talent approval, image distribution, contact sheet creation, image markups and retouching notes, FPO and layout creation, metadata services, fulfillment services, and long-term archiving. The customized export interface allows clients to create new jobs, update existing collections and transfer photography from the desktop into the networked enterprise workflow.

GLOBALedit is a professional online image management system that provides global access to large photo collections and a suite of workflow tools that connect creative and business communities. Designed by digital workflow pioneers and built on a secure and scalable infrastructure, GLOBALedit allows professionals and enterprises to capture and harvest the value contained within expanding content libraries.

"The integration of these two gold-standard software technologies connects professional photographers and creative teams," said Aaron Holm, VP Development and Integration, Industrial Color. "Connecting professional desktop applications with global Web services reduces the barriers of time and distance across our clients' photo production workflows."

"Aperture provides me with the freedom to create the color and feel for a campaign directly in RAW. The direct connection with GLOBALedit opens up access for my clients and partners to start working and really sets the whole project in motion," said Don Flood, a professional photographer.

This integration will be showcased and demonstrated on Thursday evening October 18 at the Digital Photography Masters exhibition at M Project Gallery in Tribeca, NY. Hosted by Industrial Color and the Aperture Users Professional Network, the gathering will feature iconic digital imagery from today's leading photographers.
