Global PC Manufacturer Lenovo to Bundle Avanquest's Mobile PhoneTools with Bluetooth-Enabled Notebook PCs

DENVER, July 3 - Avanquest Software, a leading developer and publisher of business and consumer software for the global PC market, today announced the bundling of its Mobile PhoneTools with Bluetooth-enabled notebook PCs from global PC manufacturer Lenovo, giving high-speed Internet access over 3G mobile networks to users of Bluetooth-compatible Lenovo laptops, virtually anytime and anywhere.

Mobile PhoneTools enables any compatible Bluetooth cellular phone to function as a modem when connected with a user's laptop, making wide-area high-speed Internet connectivity possible without the need of a PCMCIA card or having to search for WiFi hot spots. In addition, the software synchronizes contact information between the handset and popular desktop programs such as Microsoft Outlook®, Outlook Express®, and MS Exchange®, as well as Lotus Notes.

"This new global licensing agreement for Mobile PhoneTools provides Lenovo notebook PC users with a comprehensive, powerful and easy to use mobility solution," said David Wright, President of Avanquest Software's Denver-based OEM Division. "Lenovo notebook PC users will appreciate that they do not need a cable to connect to their cellular phone, so the Bluetooth will replace the cable so their cellular phone can stay in their pocket or briefcase."

The PC-cellular synchronization package is currently offered with each product in Lenovo's line of Bluetooth-equipped notebook PCs available in China, and will soon be introduced by Lenovo in additional markets.

Mobile PhoneTools also allows users to download multimedia content to the wireless device from their laptops and to send and receive short messages (SMS) using the PC.

Mobile PhoneTools supports hundreds of cellular phones from the world's leading handset manufacturers and is compatible with Microsoft® Windows® XP and Vista. Avanquest has sold millions copies of Mobile PhoneTools and provides support for the product in 26 languages, including Chinese, Korean, Thai, Czech and Russian.
