( www.vasco.com/ ) (NASDAQ:VDSI), the global number one vendor of strong user authentication products, today announced that German bank LBBW ( www.lbbw.de/ ) will use VASCO's Digipass 250 to enable secure online banking for its retail bank subsidiary Baden-Wuerttembergische Bank (BW-Bank).
Digipass 250 is a small and lightweight strong authentication product, offering all the benefits of VASCO's Digipass product range. It offers remote access, one-time passwords and e-signatures at the lowest cost. The ease of use of the product has been proven in numerous applications.

LBBW opted for the Digipass functionality because it will provide a high level of security for its e-banking customers. By using e.g. e-signatures, the information transmitted to the bank's server cannot be altered by a hacker, which means that transactions can't be diverted to a different account than the one designated by the e-banking customer.
