Next Generation Relays Feature New Innovative Design
LONDON - Dec. 19, 2008 - The new RZ series of general purpose relays from Tyco Electronics has been developed from Tyco Electronics' classic RT relay, which defined the global market for this type of relay. Ideal for modern applications like household appliances, building automation (e.g. garage door controls), heating (e.g. boiler controls), timers, industrial controllers, and POS automation, next generation RZ series relays offer one pole with a 12A or 16A current rating and one CO or one NO contact. The devices benefit from an innovative new design with a rated voltage of 250VAC, 400mW coil power and reinforced insulation.
Standard RZ series relays feature an ambient temperature of 85 degrees C, with the HOT version being designed for a maximum ambient temperature of 105 degrees C. The devices are all VDE and UL approved, fully RoHS compliant and meet appliance industry requirements of IEC60335-1.
RZ series general purpose relays are manufactured at Tyco Electronics' fully automated manufacturing line in Waidhofen/Austria. This ensures short lead times for Tyco Electronics European customers.
