Gehl V400 Skid Loader Wins Rental® Editor's Choice Award for 2014

WEST BEND, WISCONSIN – The Gehl V400 Skid Loader has been selected as one of Rental's 2014 Editor's Choice Award winners. These awards are based on several factors, including; ease of use, high productivity, profitability and innovation. The V400 was chosen as one of 25 products that have been proven in the rental industry.

"Gehl is honored to receive the Rental® Editor's Choice Award for 2014," said Lori Heidecker, Marketing Director of Manitou Americas. "The V400 fulfills the market's need for a high capacity skid loader and excels in demanding rental projects due to its high lifting height, maximum capacity and the industry's largest breakout force at 9,150 lbs. (4,150 kg)." The V400 boasts a rated operating capacity of 4,000 lbs. (1814 kg) and a true vertical lift height of 144" (3647 mm), making it the largest skid loader in the world.

The Gehl V400 is a true vertical lift machine, which means the lift path follows a vertical line as opposed to an 's' shaped path offered by competitive vertical-lift models. Lifting up to 144" (3647 mm), the V400 can easily load high trailers and trucks. With an unmatched rated operating capacity, there are few jobs this powerful machine cannot handle.

The V400 comes equipped with a powerful Cummins diesel engine providing 326 ft-lbs. (442 Nm) of torque and 99 gross horsepower (74 kW). The hydraulic fan with swing-out cooler reduces fuel consumption and noise levels, and provides improved service access. All daily maintenance and service checks can be performed through the large rear engine hood.

When maximum hydraulic power is needed to run demanding attachments, the V400 skid loader is equipped with high system pressure and optional high-flow of up to 40.8 gpm (154 L/min). This machine is designed to handle virtually every high-performance attachment. Standard Hydraglide™ ride control allows the lift arm to "float" when transporting loads, minimizing loss of material and offering increased operator comfort.

The state-of-the-art operator's compartment features unsurpassed ergonomics and superior comfort. The standard level II ROPS/FOPS cab-forward design optimizes the view to the bucket. A side-folding restraint bar with adjustable armrests increases operator safety and comfort. An optional pressurized cab enclosure with sound reduction material and a rearmounted air filter provides a cleaner and quieter operating environment.

The Gehl V400 skid loader is available in the North American market. For more information, contact the nearest Gehl Skid Loader dealer or visit the Gehl website at www.gehl.com
