Bison Model 562 AC/DC Now Available from Stock!

February 27, 2006 - Bison Gear and Engineering is pleased to introduce the new 562 series hollow shaft gearmotor. With increased low speed center distance, coupled with greater clearance for wider faced gears, the 562 allows for close to twice the continuous torque ratings! (1100 in-lbs. continuous vs. competitor's 600 in-lbs.) Also, the 562 offers an optional 4th stage of gear reduction; providing ratios up to 2200:1 in the same envelope, allowing for a smaller input motor without sacrificing output torque. Following in the tradition of our right angle 750, the Bison 562 features our hollow shaft options with multiple mounting configurations. The 562 is offered with various AC and DC input motors, including 3-phase and inverter duty. The 562's ¾" diameter hollow bore allows for interchangeable shaft designs. Typical applications include food processing equipment, conveyor systems, and many others requiring high torque in a small package.

Bison is a family-owned business that has been supplying gearmotors, reducers and motors for use in heavy-duty commercial products for more than 45 years. Bison standard gearmotors are available up to 3hp/2.2kw, in both U.S. and European Union frequencies and voltages. They include parallel shaft gearmotors, right angle gearmotors in single and double reduction versions, speed reducers, AC and DC motors, including inverter controlled and 3-phase models. Bison gearmotors typically produce more torque than other gearmotors in their physical size and price range; and are engineered with Robusticity(TM) to provide high reliability in demanding applications. Industries such as, conveyors, icemaker-dispensers, food preparation equipment, food dispensers, hot melt dispensers, chemical mixers, door openers, automatic feeders, ventilation systems, exercise equipment, metal cutting equipment, packaging equipment, medical pumping and positioning equipment, battery powered vehicles, military applications, and much more are using Bison products.

Bison goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure gearmotors, reducers and motors manufactured precisely meet the performance needs of the products they drive.
