Clausing/Colchester 15-Inch Geared Head Lathe Is Cost-Efficient
The Clausing/Colchester 15" x 50" Geared Head Lathe offers solid construction and precision engineering for consistent high quality production at a very cost-efficient price. The combined vee and flat configuration on the extra-wide hardened and ground bed allows precise, accurate machining to within .0001" and vibration-free cutting. The cross slide runs along a dovetail guide, and both saddle and cross slide have adjustable gib strips.
The lathe features a rugged headstock with 16 spindle speeds from 25 to 2000 RPM, ground and hardened and ground headstock gears, precision Gamet spindle bearings, automatically lubricated
spindle bearings, gears and shafts, and an easy-to-read index plate for simple feed or thread selection. Other features include an easy access pullout rolling chip bin, chuck guard and lead screw cover, and lever-operated clutch at the apron for forward/reverse.
Optional accessories include chucks, live center, taper attachment and a range of tool posts, stops, rests and holders.
