GE Offers Cost-Effective Upgrade Plan for Online Machinery Protection

The 3500 ENCORE(TM) Series Eliminates "Rip and Replace" Hassle and Protects Initial Investment

MINDEN, NEV.-GE's (NYSE: GE) Bently Nevada(TM) product line announces 3500 ENCORE, a cost-effective, non-intrusive solution for upgrading an existing 3300 monitoring system. 3500 ENCORE is the first upgrade package for online condition monitoring that does not require customers to perform a complete system replacement, which is costly and time consuming. The 3500 ENCORE allows current 3300 users to upgrade to the latest technology while protecting and extending the life of their original investment.

"The goal with 3500 ENCORE is to protect and maximize the investment of our customers," said Jeff Schnitzer, product general manager-Bently Nevada product line for GE Energy Services. "As we continue to support our customers, our focus is to provide a cost-effective and logical upgrade path for our existing products to enable them with the latest technology. The upgrade path provides significant costs savings, allowing customers to expand their condition monitoring programs to additional production assets which can mitigate other problems. "

3500 ENCORE is the only non "rip and replace" condition monitoring solution on the market for upgrading 3300 systems. The patented EMI cage design and high-speed backplane provides GE's Bently Nevada customers with the ability to upgrade to 2010 digital technology without changing the current infrastructure. The 3500 ENCORE provides the same continuous, online monitoring suitable for machinery protection applications as the 3300 system with the improved performance of 3500 technology.

3500 ENCORE is designed to fully meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute's API 670 standard. The system's flexible design consists of an instrument rack, AC or DC power supply, TDI system monitor and monitors with full color LCD displays chosen for the required application.
