GBC Materials Offers Online Ordering Capabilities for "VX" Super Refractory Crucibles

Unique crucibles offer characteristics of ceramics with the ability to withstand severe thermal shock

The GBC Materials business of Morgan Advanced Ceramics (MAC) now offers online ordering capabilities at www.gbcmaterials.com/acatalog/ for its "VX" Super Refractory Crucibles. Providing quick and easy delivery, GBC Materials' new online ordering capabilities are designed to facilitate and expedite the ordering process.

GBC Materials' "VX" Super Refractory Crucibles offer the valuable high-temperature properties of ceramics, yet are unique in that they also withstand severe thermal shock conditions that would shatter many conventional ceramic materials. These crucibles are ideal for a range of applications that involve rapid temperature change, such as furnace and induction brazing, sintering of powder metal compacts, and calcining of powders and components of high-temperature systems. The "VX" Super Refractory Crucibles are used to make molds used in a variety of industries, including dental, jewelry, sintering, melting and brazing.

Offering extremely low thermal expansion and conductivity, high electrical resistivity and low specific gravity, GBC Materials' "VX" Super Refractory Crucibles can withstand temperatures up to 1450° C and are available in a variety of shapes, for example boats, slabs, short tubes and crucibles.

GBC Materials can supply any size of flat slab that can be cut from an 8" x 13" blank, in any desired thickness from 3/16" to ¾". Furnace boats range in size from 5/8" height x 1 ¼" width x 1 9/16" length with a wall thickness of 1/8" to 2 5/8" height x 7 ½" width x 11 1/8" length with a wall thickness of 5/8".
