New Features Unveiled This Week at Interop New York
NEW YORK, Dec. 12 / -- Metavize(TM), Inc., an emerging leader in next generation integrated gateway security for small- to medium-sized businesses, today announced the availability of Intrusion Prevention and OpenVPN to the EdgeGuard Gateway Security Platform. The latest additions to Metavize's standard offering are now directly available to all current EdgeGuard subscribers at no additional cost.
Intrusion Prevention protects an organization's computers by blocking hackers at the border before they enter the business network. Metavize offers an incredibly powerful and proven intrusion prevention solution, which utilizes thousands of signatures to detect, block, and log intrusion attempts.
OpenVPN (virtual private network) allows for site-to-site VPN for branch offices or partners, and client-to-site VPN for home users and road warriors. OpenVPN brings enterprise-class SSL-VPN technology to Metavize customers while maintaining the ease of use and simplicity found throughout the other applications integrated on the EdgeGuard platform, making it an ideal solution for small businesses.
