St. Louis - Watlow's new ON-LINE KITCHEN(TM) GATEWAY(TM) offers an immediate option to establish NAFEM (North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers) protocol and network functionality for Modbus(TM) RTU enabled equipment.
The gateway, positioned between restaurant equipment and local area networks (LANs), provides a ready conduit for NAFEM data protocol communication to equipment, regional/branch offices and corporate headquarters. The gateway's Plug-and-Play capabilities allow users to quickly and easily migrate from legacy systems to standards-based IP networks for NAFEM data protocol compliance.
The gateway's other features, such as alarm notification, web server technology and flexible architecture make the unit ideal for enterprise customers, equipment manufacturers and system integration suppliers.
System integrators can leverage the device's built in configuration services designed to provide quick mapping of information with a standard Web browser such as Microsoft® Internet Explorer or Netscape®. The gateway's flash memory enables quick upgrades, large data file transport and supports easy menu and configuration management.
