MSA Introduces New Hydrogen Fluoride Sensor for Ultima® X Gas Monitor Series

MSA Instrument Division announces the release of a 0-10 ppm Hydrogen Fluoride sensor for the Ultima X Series Gas Monitors. The sensor features a 0-10 ppm monitoring range and a 0.1 ppm resolution, making it ideal for use in the refining, semiconductor or automotive industries as well as in general industrial applications.

State-of-the-art Ultima X Series Monitors feature the latest mechanical and electrical technologies and are designed for exceptional performance in virtually any gas detection application.

MSA Ultima XE and XA Hydrogen Fluoride Monitors provide continuous monitoring using advanced electrochemical technology. The Ultima XE Monitor features a 316 stainless steel enclosure, while Ultima XA Monitors have all-purpose plastic enclosures designed for NEMA 4X rating.

Advanced features of the Ultima XE and XA Hydrogen Fluoride Gas Monitors include:
o Interchangeable smart sensors are extremely easy to install and replace. New sensors are recognized, triggering automatic alarm and relay setting reconfiguration.
o State-of-the-art display conveniently alternates between sensor reading and gas type and features scrolling diagnostic messaging.
o World-class design features one electronics board for maximum reliability and serviceability. Multiple-entry mounting enclosure enables problem-free installation and servicing.
o Onboard LEDs and relays provide increased indication of alarm and fault conditions. "Quick-check" LEDs are easily viewable from afar, and field-programmable alarm levels and normally energized/de-energized and latching/non-latching relay functions offer three levels of alarm and a fault.

With the large LCD display, optional "Quick-Check" LEDs and four relay outputs, these units can operate on a stand-alone basis or they can be connected to a control system (e.g., PLC, DCS) via a standard 4-20 mA output.
