MSA Z Gard(TM) Gas Monitors Feature New Enclosure Options



MSA Instrument Division announces new enclosure options for the Z Gard Series of gas monitors and controllers. Z Gard controllers are available in metal or fiberglass enclosures, and Z Gard S sensors are available in plastic or metal housings. Enclosure options allow customers to choose the right option to meet the needs of both their application and budget.

The Z Gard S Sensor is designed to detect the presence of carbon monoxide gas, nitrogen dioxide, or refrigerants in air. All Z Gard S Sensors are available with two output versions, a 4-20 mA analog output or an addressable RS-485 digital signal.
Economical Z Gard C Controllers can accept 4 to 20 mA or RS-485 inputs from MSA Z Gard S Sensors. Controllers are available that can accept inputs from 1 to 8 remote sensors.

Z Gard C 485 Controllers are economical gas monitoring systems designed to solve a variety of alarm and control applications. The Z Gard C 485 Controller can interface with a wide array of remote MSA Z Gard S Sensors. Models are available which can accept inputs from up to 8, 16, or 24 MSA Z Gard S Sensors.

The Z Gard CX Controller is designed to interface with remote MSA Z Gard Sensors. The monitor provides programmable operating parameters, which are organized by a menu interface keypad. Up to 40 remote gas sensors are connected via RS-485 serial communication ports managed by the Z Gard CX Controller network.
