TS400 Toxic Gas Detector Now Monitors Ozone and Hydrogen Cyanide


New Field Mounted Display Also Available for Easy Local Read-Out

LAKE FOREST, CA Ozone and hydrogen cyanide, as well as seven other gases, now can be monitored with the TS400 Toxic Gas Detector from General Monitors. Featuring a modular gas sensing element and adjustment-free calibration in one of the industry's smallest packages, the TS400 not only delivers highly reliable gas protection, but also offers lower maintenance costs and extended life.

The TS400's new optional field mounted display makes local visual
readout easy, providing additional safety monitoring for employees or equipment. With its heavy-duty industrial package, the TS400 is ideal in the harsh operating environments found in chemical processing, water or wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, electronics, food and beverage, electric utilities, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and more.

In the chemical processing industries, the gases commonly found in dyes, film processing and propellants are monitored effectively with the Model TS400. For monitoring of pulp and paper bleaching operations, water chlorination or waste treatment, the TS400 meets the full range of industrial and municipal water treatment needs.

With its built-in LCD indicator on the detector itself or with the new optional field mounted display, the Model TS400 continuously monitors for (and displays) fault conditions, calibration and data memory errors. The advanced adjustment free calibration design reduces maintenance costs over the life of this detector. The Model TS400's innovative modular gas sensor design is based on electrochemical cell technology.

The nine gases detected by the Model TS400 are: carbon monoxide (0 to 100 ppm, 0 to 500 ppm), chlorine (0 to 10 ppm), nitric oxide (0 to 100 ppm), nitrogen dioxide (0 to 20 ppm), sulfur dioxide (0 to 20 ppm), chlorine dioxide (0 to 3 ppm), hydrogen chloride (0 to 20 ppm), ozone (0 to 1 ppm) and hydrogen cyanide (0 to 20 ppm).

Surface-mount transmitter electronics are contained in a lightweight, corrosion-resistant polypropylene housing in order to process all information locally. The TS400 provides a linear 4-20mA analog output signal that easily connects to control hardware, such as PLCs or computer-based systems. The two-wire loop powered design reduces installation costs.

The compact Model TS400 (1.75 in. diameter and 4.5 in. long) fits
within the palm of your hand. It weighs only 8 oz and its smaller size allows fixed placement in crowded plant conditions where other larger detectors will not fit.

A variety of accessories are available for the Model TS400, including flow block, splash guard, dust guard, plastic junction box, aluminum junction box and calibration kits. To support global applications, the TS400 features universal product approvals: UL, CUL, CSA, CENELEC and CE-Marking.
