Original Press Release:

New Modular Fuseholders. A Single Product Solution for Global Applications

ST. LOUIS - June 14, 2004 - The new Bussmann® CH series Modular Fuseholder is designed for global use, and has IEC, CSA and UL recognition. It also complies with the European Union Directive (50-1000Vac, 75-1500Vdc) and carries the CE mark.

Optional remote and local open-fuse indication is available. A neon indicator lamp identifies the location of the open-fuse so the fuse can be quickly replaced to get equipment back on-line. A micro-switch option can also be ordered for 14x51mm and 22x58mm units. A fuseholder, containing a fuse with a striker-pin, sends a signal to a remote indicator when the fuse has
opened.

Finger-safe construction offers protection from inadvertent contact with live parts because of recessed wire-termination screws and a fuse extraction door that provides IP-20 protection
according to IEC standards. This integrated, pivoting door allows for easy and simultaneous removal of one, two, or three fuses at a time without the need for tools.

The CH series can easily be configured for one-pole or multi-pole applications. Multi-phase connection links and handle pin accessories allow for adding poles in the field (up to a total of four modules) to customize applications. Integral 35mm DIN-rail mounting makes for quick, easy installation. CH holders for four physical fuse sizes are available: 8x32mm, 10x38mm,
14x51mm and 22x58mm.
