New Category-Leading Fume Extraction System Introduced by Cooper Hand Tools

APEX, N. C. - November 15, 2007 - Cooper Hand Tools announces the introduction of the Weller Volume Fume Extraction System (WFE2ES) to capture particles and pollutants produced by the soldering process. This new system is ideal for solder baths, hot air soldering, micro soldering and adhesive applications.

According to Glenn Schindo, Cooper Hand Tools Global Business Development Manager, Electronics, "We developed the Weller Volume Extraction System because the switch to lead-free alloys increases the level of breathable airborne pollutants. By using this system, users/workers can have a more comfortable, cleaner, and safer working environment."

With a filtration efficiency of 99.5 percent, the compact filter system consists of an F5 class fine-dust filter and a Puratex compact H12 HEPA filter with active carbon. These can be upgraded to an F7 fine-dust filter and an H13 HEPA filter for even higher efficiency.

Also, a powerful and brushless maintenance-free turbine provides fast and effective removal of pollutants from the air while offering a low noise emission of 55 dBA. The system can be used with a wide variety of accessories, including extraction arms, exhaust hoods, extraction plates and more.
