APPLETON, Wis. — Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has introduced new replacement filters for its popular FILTAIR® 130 portable fume extractor, a lightweight model designed for contractors, rental fleet product, maintenance and repair applications, and light fabrication. These FILTEK™ XL filters provide double the life cycle compared to previous filter styles, for half the cost — without sacrificing weld fume capture efficiency.
The replacement filters feature 31 square feet of filter media (twice as much as before), resulting in high surfacing loading capability for a cleaner, safer welding environment. A MERV rating of 15 ensures that the filters operate at a high efficiency and are capable of capturing the smallest of weld fume particles (.3 to 1 micron in size).
To simplify and minimize maintenance, these FR treated replacement filters are manually cleanable with dry, compressed air. A filter service indicator light on the FILTAIR 130 portable fume extractor indicates when this routine maintenance should be performed. Combined with the weld fume particulate collection tray in the system, this simple cleaning process helps extend filter life, maintains strong airflow and provides optimal weld fume extraction.
