Fujitsu to Showcase New Graphic Display Controllers, IDB-1394b Controller and GPS Products at Telematics Detroit 2006


SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 22 / Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) will feature a complete array of new products and technologies for the automotive market, including the company's IDB-1394b controller and graphics display controllers, at the upcoming Telematics Detroit 2006 conference May 23-24 at the Rock Financial Showplace.

In booth 51 during the two-day exhibit, Fujitsu will showcase products developed for the automotive market, including the following:

o A new two-dimensional graphics display controller, the MB86276, developed to meet the requirements of North American automotive suppliers for in-vehicle navigation and information displays. The MB86276 incorporates operating system support from industry leaders including WindRiver, QNX, and Green Hills Software. The device is the newest member of a growing family of two- and three-dimensional GDCs for vehicle makers and their suppliers worldwide;

o A new evaluation kit built for customers' evaluation in-vehicle entertainment systems based on the industry's first IDB-1394b IC single-chip solution;

o The MB87Q2040, Fujitsu's new chipset for the high-sensitivity GPS/AGPS receivers required in communications systems. The chipsets, which enable telematics and navigation applications for mobile location, tracking and monitoring, support UMTS/WCDMA, GSM/GPRS, PDC and CDMA air interfaces;

o Leading-edge biometrics products, including the MBF200, a single-touch fingerprint sensor IC designed to provide keyless entry and optimize security for a new generation of vehicles.
