Popular Fingerprint Sensor ICs, Graphics Display Controllers, 8- and 32-bit MCUs and Motor Control Development Kit to be Featured at Booth 2034

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 27 -- Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) will introduce its newest family of 16-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) and latest FlexRay(TM) controller, along with additions to its 8-bit and 32-bit families, at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, April 1-5.

Fujitsu also will demonstrate its Sweep Sensor® and single touch fingerprint sensor ICs, along with the newest member of its graphics display controller family, the MB86297. Fujitsu is located at booth 2034 in the McEnery Convention Center.

FlexRay Controller and 16FX MCU Series Highlight New Offerings

The new controller products provide the high levels of integration, leading-edge performance and optimized architectures required for advanced applications in the automotive, consumer, communications, industrial and peripherals markets. The controllers are available with the development kits, emulators, software tools and support needed to ensure that Fujitsu customers meet their design objectives and easily develop application software.

"Our latest MCUs and development kits represent Fujitsu's commitment to delivering the best controller architectures and tools for new generations of products," said Keith Horn, chief operating officer, Fujitsu Microelectronics America. "By constantly enhancing our MCU families and offering the latest development tools, we make it easy for customers to evaluate new products and initiate new designs."

For automotive networking applications Fujitsu is expanding its portfolio with a new, high-integration, low power series of 16-bit MCUs, the 16FX family, along with the new MB91F465XA FlexRay controller for driver-assistance applications. There is also a new member of the 32-bit F2MC family, the MB91F467B, which was designed in close cooperation with automotive suppliers.

Fujitsu is enhancing its support for next-generation consumer and medical applications, with two new flash-equipped 8-bit MCUs, the MB95F128 and MB95F168M, which provide low power consumption, LCDC integration, and excellent performance for household appliances and digital audio/video equipment.

The company is also extending its leadership in products for industrial, automotive and household motor control applications. The newest member of its 32-bit FR series, the MB91F487, incorporates two multi-function timer units for motor inverter control for household appliances. And the new MotorKit-91F267-MC platform simplifies development of three-phase motor-control solutions for automotive and industrial motor-control applications.

The Fujitsu fingerprint sensor ICs and graphics display controllers also reflect the company's commitment to providing comprehensive solutions, with state-of-the-art hardware and software along with the tools and support required for customers to implement their designs quickly and reliably.
