Fujitsu First in U.S. to Achieve SAP Certifications in Application Management and Hosting Services

Fujitsu Consulting AMS and Hosting services meet rigorous SAP certification standards that evaluate and assess client service levels, delivery quality and reliability

Edison, New Jersey, November 8, 2007 - Fujitsu Consulting today announced that its application management services (AMS) and application hosting services (Hosting) have been certified by SAP AG in the United States. Fujitsu Consulting is the first information technology services firm in the United States whose application management services have received SAP AMS certification and the first to have achieved both technical certifications.

"Fujitsu is a proven leader in SAP integration and application outsourcing services," said Brent Kelton, vice president, SAP practice, Fujitsu Consulting. "Meeting the SAP certification standards demonstrates that Fujitsu Consulting excels in responding to the application lifecycle needs of our clients, enabling them to achieve the maximum value, operational efficiency and innovation from their enterprise applications."

Achieving SAP AMS and Hosting certifications involved thorough assessments of Fujitsu Consulting delivery and operational capabilities by the SAP partner management organization. The certification demonstrates the high level of SAP application management and hosting capability of Fujitsu Consulting in the United States and is validation of the company's ability to productively support, optimize and improve SAP® business applications on behalf of its clients. As a certified SAP hosting partner, Fujitsu Consulting offers the full portfolio of hosting services for SAP Business Suite applications and the SAP NetWeaver® platform in the United States.

Fujitsu Consulting offers a complete suite of SAP-related application management and hosting services and technologies that are required to successfully implement and operate SAP enterprise applications. Services include planning, deployment and integration, version upgrades, application support and infrastructure management services. This enables clients to outsource the management of their entire SAP application environment. As a result, clients can now achieve the maximum benefit from the power of their SAP enterprise applications without the need to hire and train specialized SAP resources or to invest in additional systems infrastructure.

These new Fujitsu Consulting certifications complement the Fujitsu global hosting partnership agreement with SAP AG that was announced in May 2007. Fujitsu has an SAP Competency Center in Tokyo, providing SAP support for the Asia Pacific region. Fujitsu Siemens Computers also operates an SAP International Competency Center located at SAP AG (Walldorf, Germany) which delivers IT solutions for SAP as a basis for building service-oriented architectures (SOA).

In addition, Fujitsu is one of only three organizations in the world to now hold all three SAP global partner designations (SAP global technology partner, SAP global services partner and SAP global hosting partner). The company continues to invest in expanding its application consulting and outsourcing services and capacity for SAP solutions. Over the past year, it has grown to approximately 2,000 SAP consultants worldwide and expects to more than double that number by the end of 2008.

Certifications

o The SAP Partner Hosting - Certification focuses on assessing service delivery capability and quality in a number of critical system areas such as data center operation and performance, security, network and connectivity, backup and disaster recovery, IT service management processes, SAP application operation, administration and project management skills.
