Fujifilm Continues to Grow Its Family of DR Portables

The popular and versatile line has evolved and expanded

CHICAGO - (Booth #8316) - FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc. is showing the latest addition to its resourceful and highly-regarded family of digital portable solutions, the FDR Go*, at the 2012 meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). It represents the latest evolution of our digital portable portfolio.

"We know that portable imaging is a very fast-paced and demanding environment. A portable system that can consistently capture high-quality images quickly, comfortably and efficiently is an absolute necessity. That's what we have always designed for, and it's why we continue to innovate and evolve our portable line," says Robert Fabrizio, Director of Marketing and Product Development, Digital X-ray at Fujifilm. "From the original FCR Go to our latest FDR Go and FDR-flex, our innovations continue to build diagnostic confidence and improved patient care."

Fujifilm's original FCR Go portables were noted for outstanding images, improved efficiency, and reliable wireless communication. With our new DR models we have evolved to a next-generation level with advanced Fujifilm DR features such as Irradiated Side Sampling (ISS) and Dynamic Visualization (DV). ISS senses x-rays at the top detector layer, minimizing light spread (blur) and capturing sharper signals. DV clarifies images for higher visibility detail and enables wider range of window and leveling throughout the entire image.

FDR Go*

New for 2013, the FDR Go offers the speed, image quality and dose benefits of Fujifilm's FDR D-EVO detectors, with enhanced portable features including a compact size that nicely maneuvers in tight spaces, a quiet, smooth drive system, SpeedLink automated menu mapping of generator techniques, tube head inching controls and more.

*FDR Go is a work in progress and is not yet available for sale in the U.S.

FDR-flex

The FDR-flex is a new lightweight hand carry-able DR solution that instantly turns almost any analog portable or x-ray room into a DR imaging suite. Technologists simply drop the small communications box into the portable cassette drawer, snap the full featured laptop console into its mount, and begin to capture high-quality images. It integrates with any of Fujifilm's wireless FDR D-EVO flat panel detectors, a DR-optimized laptop console, and supporting communications box.

FDR Go2-flex

The world's only hybrid DR portable system, the FDR Go2-flex combines the advantages of a fully integrated DR portable with the versatility of CR in one integrated system. It combines Fujifilm's innovative portable functionality with the image quality, dose efficiency and speed of our advanced FDR D-EVO detectors. Built-in CR offers additional flexibility on demand, such as for use with small format cassettes and redundancy for uninterrupted use if the detector is not available due to sharing or low battery.

Fujifilm's leadership in CR, DR and other solutions is continually advanced by our efforts to consult directly with the professionals who use imaging technology on a daily basis. That insight also leads us to be a key player in information technology with such systems as Fujifilm's Synapse PACS, Synapse RIS, Synapse Cardiovascular, Synapse 3D, Synapse TeleRIS, Synapse Mobility and a complete range of IT services for the healthcare sector.
