Applied Instrument Technologies Introduces New Model in Its PIONIR® Series of Analyzers

UPLAND, Calif. -- Applied Instrument Technologies, Inc. (AIT), a leading manufacturer of multi-component process analyzers has announced the introduction of its model PIONIR® XTC fuels blending analyzer.

PIONIR XTC is the next generation PIONIR Near Infrared Refinery Analyzer.  The PIONIR XTC integrates a whole new electronics platform and the leading edge SpectraSuite(TM) of software.  AIT's powerful and flexible SpectraRTS(TM) automates operation of the analyzer including data collection, analysis and data reporting, sample system control, data archiving and trending.   SpectraRTS also includes an integrated Modbus® and OPC® interface.

Additionally, the XTC advances a significant new option, Extended Chemometrics. This provides the capability for the user to not only deploy AIT's own SpectraQuant(TM) chemometric modeling software, but allows users added flexibility to select between 3(rd) party chemometric modeling packages.

"The PIONIR refinery system has been successfully deployed by the world's leading refineries.  It is the perfection of fiber based solution for multiple stream analyzers," said Joe LaConte, President of AIT. "The new XTC model builds on years of success to enhance user experience and flexibility."

The PIONIR XTC incorporates a Windows® embedded processor with a 15" touchscreen that is used to operate the SpectraSuite of software.

"The PIONIR Series shares a common operating system, SpectraRTS, with AIT's other spectroscopy products including Analect(TM) FTIR/FT-NIR as well as the RPM(TM) Raman," said Robert Hegger, Vice President of Sales & Marketing forAIT. "In addition, this new platform is backwards compatible, providing the capability to upgrade all prior generation PIONIR 1024 analyzers."
