Ener1 Fuel Cell Company Launches Humidifier Product

Utilizes More Durable, Nafion(R)-free Fiber Material

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 11 -- Ener1, Inc., (BULLETIN BOARD: ENEI) , today announced that its EnerFuel fuel cell subsidiary has introduced a series of fuel cell humidifiers for proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell systems.

The EnerFuel EFH-100 series solid state humidifier utilizes a Nafion(R)-free, hollow fiber material designed to make the humidifier highly durable. The light weight, compact humidifier provides high humidification effectiveness irrespective of flow rates. Other benefits include excellent tolerance to vibration. Units with Air-to-Air and Water-to-Air modes of operation are available.

The product is available for purchase directly from EnerFuel or via Fuel Cell Store (fuelcellstore.com).

"The humidifier is an often fragile, yet crucial component to the fuel cell system. Our team has taken a new and quite novel approach to fuel cell humidification that uses a different material than what's found in the humidifiers on the market today. We're confident the durability and reliability of our competitively priced product will make it attractive to fuel cell manufacturers that are looking to improve the performance of their fuel cell systems," said Rex Hodge, President of EnerFuel.

"The debut of EnerFuel's new humidifier product demonstrates that Ener1 is moving from research and development mode to a company with commercially viable products," said Charles Gassenheimer, Chairman of Ener1, Inc. "Rex and his team have done a great job delivering this product and we look forward to the debut of the other products they have in the pipeline."
