Fru-Con Consolidates ERP with CMiC Reducing the Cost of Running Multiple Systems

CMiC's Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning Software Gives Fru-Con the Freedom of Running its Business with an Industry-Specific Single Web-Based Solution

TORONTO, Aug. 16 // -- CMiC, the leading project-based enterprise resource planning software provider, today announced that Fru-Con Construction Corporation is implementing CMiC's Enterprise, Project Management and Integration solution set. CMiC's sales, financial, projects and assets tracking features will enable Fru-Con to integrate all departments and functions by consolidating and managing information in a single database.

After careful evaluation of several leading ERP providers, Fru-Con opted to deploy CMiC's single Web-based solution because it minimizes cost overhead by eliminating the need for several of its existing stand alone solutions.

Fru-Con -- a wholly owned subsidiary of Bilfinger Berger AG -- is a St. Louis-based engineering and construction firm that offers services including design, procurement, construction, start-up and maintenance. Previously, Fru-Con was using many stand alone solutions which introduced a variety of inefficiencies into the business.

"CMiC's solution set will give us the proper tools to manage risk across all aspects of our company from sales through project close-out within a single information solution," said Dean Modde, Manager Information Systems, Fru-Con. "Because of CMiC's experience and knowledge of the architecture, engineering & construction industry, we expect CMiC to hit the ground running and immediately deploy out-of-box functionality where we need it."

With revenues exceeding $660 million in 2005 and more than 2,000 employees, finding a high-tech, cost-effective solution was a major focus in Fru-Con's decision-making process. CMiC's Project Management Solution specifically enables Fru-Con to reduce the administrative burden on its own staff by deploying integrated, self-service tools for its employees and other project stakeholders to use.

"Fru-Con is another example of a Top 100 ENR firm entrusting CMiC to support its corporate growth plans and technology goals," said CMiC President Gord Rawlins. "This proves again and again that CMiC is the only software solution able to meet all of the departments' needs within a AEC firm."
