Fresh Linen Scented Plastic Folding Carton Package from Transparent Packaging
Following up on the Baby Powder Scented PET folding carton that was a retail success for apparel maker QSD, Transparent Packaging Inc. has produced a fresh linen scented package.
The entire outer surface of the clear and printed plastic hexagon shaped box has a scented varnish applied that releases a gentle fresh linen fragrance just by handling the package when the consumer picks it up. If it is intentionally rubbed it will release more fragrance. The fresh linen scent was chosen because of the warm comfortable home feelings associated with fresh linens.
Compression apparel marketer QSD who developed maternity and post maternity under garments that help support and enhance a women’s figure wanted a package that would be truly unique and memorable in the competitive women’s lingerie market. They achieved that goal with their introduction of a pregnancy support girdle that was packaged in a hexagon shaped A-PET folding carton. (Often referred to as acetate boxes) The hexagon shaped package was originally designed by Transparent Packagings design team and when QSD became aware that Transparent Packaging could apply an encapsulated fragrance to the outside of the plastic carton QSD jumped at the opportunity. “Having a nice fragrance associated with our product packaging really sets us apart” said Jane Smith, Marketing manager for QSD.
Transparent Packaging has now produced a Baby Powder scented Maternity wear package and a Fresh linen scented post maternity garment package for QSD. The scented plastic packaging is one of the consistent styling cues that is driving the QSD Angel Care tm maternity wear brand recognition. Transparent Packaging has over 60 “stock “fragrances available, plus the ability to apply custom fragrances, giving its clients plenty of choices to develop a unique and memorable package. Other applications that have used a scented plastic box include hair care product packaging, perfume packaging, and promotional packages. Many of the Transparent Packaging staff have strawberry scented business cards!
