Facilities in China and U.S. Will Use Fourth Shift to Support Lean Manufacturing

MINNEAPOLIS, March 16 -- SoftBrands Inc. (AMEX:SBN), a global leader in next-generation enterprise software for manufacturing and hospitality businesses, today announced that Fortron XP Power Corp. has chosen SoftBrands' Fourth Shift manufacturing ERP system, which will be implemented at four of the company's locations around the world.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Fortron XP Power is a leading global manufacturer of power supplies. The company is a joint venture between XP Power and Fortron Source Group. Fourth Shift will be implemented at three Fortron XP Power facilities in China and one in the United States. The Fourth Shift ERP system gives the joint venture worldwide access to the information it needs to effectively manage various locations; SoftBrands' professional services teams will support the implementations through engagements focused on synchronizing global operations and lean manufacturing.
