Advanced Comodo S.A.F.E. Solution Helps FORUM Align To Regulatory Requirements for Mutual Authentication
Jersey City, NJ (August 24, 2006) - Comodo, a global Certification Authority and leading provider of Identity and Trust Assurance Management solutions, announced today that Indiana based FORUM Credit Union is deploying Comodo's S.A.F.E. solution (Safe and Authenticated Financial Engagements) to protect members from phishing and pharming attacks. FORUM will utilize key elements in Comodo's S.A.F.E. Solution including VerificationEngine, High Assurance SSL certificates, email certificates and HackerGuardian. Together, this suite provides FORUM members with increased verification of site identity and security in online banking. Comodo was chosen by FORUM because Comodo's credentials and expertise as a Certification Authority can deliver to FORUM members new technology to ensure safe banking within a platform that is one of the easiest to deploy and proven to be very user friendly.

FORUM Credit Union is deploying:
VerificationEngine - an anti-phishing tool that lets users verify site identity through validated web content before they submit any sensitive information into a log in box. Simply rolling the mouse over the log in box will display a bright green "good to go" border outside the browser environment making this trust indicator impervious to fraudsters and site imposters. Today, VerificationEngine (VE) can be used to verify the site identity of more than 200,000 organizations including financial institutions, government agencies and public companies.
InstantSSL(TM) Certificates - a High Assurance SSL that provides encryption and authentication of business identity - a key weapon in defending against online fraud.
Email certificates - email certificates will be used to digitally sign and encrypt sensitive communications, providing additional layers of security so that members' personal information remains protected.
HackerGuardian(TM) - a daily vulnerability scanning and certification solution that will scan FORUM's web servers to ensure they are free of known security vulnerabilities that hackers exploit. After the daily scan confirms site safety, FORUM's site will display the certification seal, called HackerShield TrustLogo, confirming the site's safety from hackers. This highly visible TrustLogo can be verified as authentic by members using VerificationEngine - making it the only "unspoofable" TrustLogo on the market today.
