Ford Selects DST as Exclusive Aftermarket Technology Partner for Motorcraft and Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center® E-Commerce Solutions

LAKE FOREST, Calif. -- Ford Motor Company has selected Distribution Service Technologies, Inc. (DST) as its exclusive partner to provide Ford Authorized Distributors (FADs) with a Motorcraft-branded eBusiness portal called eCounter. Built on DST's industry-leading TurboParts eCommerce engine, eCounter will feature exclusive content and functionality to allow FADs to do business with their customers 24/7/365.

Ford's FADs will have access to a Motorcraft-branded eBusiness portal called eCounter. Built on DST's industry-leading TurboParts eCommerce engine, eCounter will feature exclusive content and functionality to allow FADs to do business with their customers 24/7/365.

"DST presented Ford with a comprehensive plan to enable us to deliver an eCommerce solution that encourages full usage throughout the FAD organization," said Bob Benintende, Motorcraft marketing manager. "We were impressed with DST's technology, their knowledge of the marketplace and our customers' needs, and their proven track record of delivering results for Ford. The eCounter portal is an enterprise solution for FADs, not only to maximize Ford sales potential, but for competitive makes as well."

DST Also Selected For Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centers® Initiative

Ford also selected DST as its exclusive partner to provide Ford's nationwide network of Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centers® with access to competitive vehicle maintenance interval data for all vehicle makes and models. Data will be delivered through DST's TurboParts eCommerce engine, and subsequently, be incorporated into Motorcraft's private-labeled eCounter eBusiness portal and enhanced exclusively for Quick Lane.

"Through eCounter, DST will provide our Quick Lanes locations with the critical information they need to service Ford and non-Ford vehicles," said Don Cape, Quick Lane National Sales Manager. "This enhancement of the Motorcraft eCounter solution will provide our stores with the ability to immediately source parts for all makes and models through Ford Authorized Distributors (FADs)."

According to Stan Gowisnock, DST president and chief executive officer, Ford's decision to partner with DST for eCommerce solutions is evidence of the strength of DST's technology.

"DST has created powerful tools to allow FADs and Quick Lane locations to create programs unique to their businesses and continue to improve their efficiency," Gowisnock said. "We believe technology should support a company's sales and marketing initiatives, not limit them, and these programs are evidence of that commitment. We are pleased to have this opportunity to grow our business with Ford."
