NEW Transducer for Slip Measurements
BYK-Gardner, the world-wide leader in instrumentation for quality control of paints and plastics, introduces a new force transducer for slip measurements.
The mechanical smoothness of surfaces plays an important role in many applications, as smooth surfaces are much more resistant to scratches and easier to clean, and they also stay clean longer. For example, floors can be shiny, but at the same time they should also be nonskid. The new transducer from BYK-Gardner is ideal for evaluations of this type.
The force transducer for slip measurement is used with BYK-Gardner automatic film applicators, catalog #'s SAR-2101 and SAR-2150. The measurement is done automatically under reproducible conditions. During measurements, the values are saved in Excel® templates and the mean value is calculated and shown in a diagram. Thus, differences between single measurements can be analyzed instantly.
