FOR-A to Showcase Key Products at Argentina's Caper Show

Fort Lee, N.J. - FOR-A Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, has announced its plans for CAPER 2012. The show, which focuses on the latest innovations in radio, television, cable, cinema, satellite, and multimedia, takes place October 24-26 at Centro Costa Salguero in Buenos Aires, Argentina. FOR-A will display a variety of their popular solutions in Booth C10.

"We're extremely active in Latin America, and CAPER is a premiere show in this region," said Pedro Silvestre, Sales Director, FOR-A Corp. of America. "We're excited to showcase a selection of our key products and connect with our existing and potential customers in this dynamic marketplace. CAPER is always one of the year's most important trade shows for FOR-A."

Among the products that FOR-A will demo will be the award-winning VFC-7000 Super Slow Motion Camera - a lightweight, self-contained unit. The camera offers high-speed play-out and recording in HD at variable frame rates from 24 to 700 fps. It features a high-sensitivity CMOS color sensor and electronic high-speed shutter that can operate as fast as 1/200,000 of a second for filming fast-moving events and subjects without blur.

Also in the FOR-A/CAPER booth will be the FA-9500 3G/HD/SD Multi-Purpose Signal Processor. Packed with features, the FA-9500 provides up/down/cross/aspect converters, second converter, color correction, and automatic video optimizer as standard features. Two channels of HD/SD-SDI and one channel of analog composite video I/O come standard, and it's expandable up to five channels. With SDI inputs, two channels are synchronously coupled for seamless switching between channels.

Another product on display will be the MV-42HS HD/SD Multi-Viewer. The compact, low-cost unit has a simple user interface and supports up to four asynchronous or mixed HD-SDI and SD-SDI inputs, including 1080i, 1080p, and 720p sources at a variety of frame rates. The MV-42HS has a variety of on-screen features for a customized display environment. FOR-A will also have the MV-1610HS HD/SD/Analog/PC Mixed High Resolution Multi-Viewer on display.

FOR-A's popular storage solution, the LTR-100HS Video Archiving Recorder, is another booth highlight. The LTR-100HS is fitted with an LTO-5 drive and offers HD/SD-SDI input/output. The solution makes file ingest workflow more efficient and reduces archive space requirements. Equipped with a high quality MPEG-2 codec, the LTR-100HS includes an MXF wrapper/un-wrapper, so MXF files recorded to LTO-5 tape can be used directly by many NLE systems. LTO-5 tape cartridges can store approximately 50 hours of programming recorded at 50 Mbps.

The UFM-30FRC HD/SD Frame Rate Converter will also be demoed at FOR-A's booth. Equipped with up/down/cross converters as standard features, the UFM-30FRC offers a motion compensation processing mode and linear converter mode to perform optimal conversions.

Other products to be displayed at CAPER include FOR-A's HVS-4000 2 M/E - 3 M/E Digital Video Switcher, the MBP-100SX compact MXF Video Clip Server, and the VTW-330HS HD/SD Character Generator.
