Focus Enhancements Provides TV-out Capability for Carpoint's Newest Navigation and Personal Media Player


Company Brings Added Value to Car Navigation Market with High-Resolution TV Video Portability

CAMPBELL, Calif. - October 2, 2007 - Focus Enhancements Inc (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, video conversion and digital media, announced that Carpoint, one of the two largest car navigation manufacturers in Korea, has selected the Focus FS455 TV-out encoder chip for its new seven-inch combination car navigation and personal media player.

By leveraging Focus Enhancements' TV-out capability, Carpoint meets the growing demand for media content portability, especially in tech-savvy markets like Korea. Customers can now seamlessly play high-resolution video on the road or at home by connecting the Ultra Navi auto navigation device to their home TV or other portable television displays without compromising image quality.

Along with Focus Enhancements' FS455 TV-out encoder, the newly-launched Ultra Navi features a seven-inch, 800x480 LCD, the RMI Alchemy AU1250 CPU at 600 MHz, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB), Traffic over DMB, and an FM transmitter. All Ultra Navi units will ship with Focus Enhancements' FS455 chip, and Carpoint anticipates adding Focus' TV-out functionality to the company's mid-range navigation models in the future.
