Double Coated Closed Cell Foam Tape Resists Abrasion, Corrosion, Moisture



Windsor, Connecticut - February 21, 2006.... Scapa Industrial has introduced Scapa 5414, a new double coated closed-cell polyethylene foam tape designed to resist abrasion, corrosion and moisture in industrial bonding, sealing and assembly applications.

Manufactured using a white polyethylene foam, Scapa 5414 is double coated with an acrylic adhesive. The product seals out air, moisture and chemicals, and helps prevent corrosion. This double coated foam tape offers good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, provides very good UV light resistance, and is quick and easy to apply. Scapa 5414 is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Its paper release liner controls dimensional changes during application.
