FMC Technologies Contracted by Federal Express to Develop New Cargo Loader to Support the A380

Houston, TX, June 07, 2006 - FMC Technologies (NYSE: FTI) announced today that its Orlando based Ground Support Equipment business has executed a contract with Federal Express to design, manufacture, and support the A380 Freighter main/upper deck cargo loader using FMC's Commander XR that includes a patented three position operation.
The unique design and commonality with other loaders in the FedEx fleet and FMC's long-term relationship were factors in the decision.

"We have invested significant time and effort into understanding the challenges of servicing this aircraft safely and within the existing windows for current freight handling operations."
