Fluoroelastomers feature reduced post-cure time.

Press Release Summary:

Tecnoflon HS Family Fluoroelastomer products allow fabricators to reduce in-plant energy consumption, speed throughput of end products, and reduce need for inventory of their products. When injection- or compression-molded into O-rings, seals and other precision components, HS fluoroelastomers exhibit reduced mold fouling. They meet industry specifications, including MIL-R-83248C.

Ausimont Announces New Family Of Fluoroelastomers, Tecnoflon(R) HS

New family of broad-use fluoroelastomers significantly reduces post-cure time, allowing customers to speed throughput of products, reduce energy consumption and inventory levels.

Thorofare, NJ, November, 2001-Ausimont USA, Inc., the North American manufacturing and marketing arm of Ausimont S.p.A. of Milan, Italy, has announced the advent of a new family of the company's proprietary Tecnoflon(R) fluoroelastomer products. Known as the HS family, the fluoroelastomers are produced in Ausimont facilities in the United States for use by customers globally. Announcement of the new product line was made by Robert A. Grinwis, business manager for Tecnoflon fluoroelastomers at Ausimont USA.

HS fluoroelastomers are considered an advanced, high-performance
product, employing state-of-the-art technology in their formulation and production by Ausimont. While suitable for the same wide range of industrial applications as previous families of Tecnoflon fluoroelastomers, providing all of the same benefits, the HS family offers fabricators a substantial reduction in pos-cure time compared to standard fluoroelostomers.

This overriding benefit allows fabricators to reduce their in-plant energy costs, speed throughput of their end product, and reduce the need for costly inventory of their products. When injection- or compression-molded into o-rings, seals, and other precision components for the aerospace, automotive, chemical processing, and semiconductor industries, HS fluoroelastomers exhibit reduced mold fouling. HS fluoroelastomers also meet the wide range of high performance industry specifications, including
MIL-R-83248C.
