Energy-saving fluorescent lighting solution for new construction and retrofit applications

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., November 11, 2009 - Cooper Lighting, a division of Cooper Industries plc (NYSE: CBE), has introduced a new line of high performance T8 parabolic luminaires designed for both new construction applications and as a lighting upgrade solution for significantly reducing energy use in existing buildings. Ideal for any commercial, educational, healthcare and retail environment, the Metalux OpticaHP Parabolic Series high-efficiency two-lamp design can save over 40% of energy costs when compared to a standard three-lamp, 18-cell parabolic found in many of today's buildings.

Metalux OpticaHP Parabolic Series includes 2' x 4' and 2' x 2' luminaires and two OpticaHP Retrofit Kits designed for installation into 2' x 4' or 2' x 2' parabolic fixtures that are 2", 3", 4" or 5" in depth. Available with 28W or 32W lamp options, the series' precision engineering combines a highly reflective matte white finish with glare reducing faceted steel cross blades to create a soft, even distribution while delivering optimum light levels.

The highly efficient OpticaHP Series of specification grade parabolics has been designed to exceed today's stringent energy-efficient standards.
