Safety Flag Company of America Offers Heavy-Duty, Weather-Tested Fluorescent Mesh Flags on Dowels
PAWTUCKET, RI, July 2005 < The Safety Flag Company of America is offering unusually durable knit mesh flags on dowels, designed primarily for fast-moving vehicles, oversized loads and high wind situations.
Safety Flag fluorescent orange mesh flags on 27-inch dowels are made of weather-tested vinyl-coated nylon. The fabric is 20% heavier than the vinyl usually used in mesh flags. Because it is knit, not simply laminated, its tensile strength and tear-resistance are superior. The flags are completely hemmed around the edges. The fluorescent dye is integral to the fabric and is not applied superficially. All dowels are a full 7/8" in diameter.
The Safety Flag SFKV18+27 is 18" square. The dowel protrudes nine inches. The flag is often used above Safety Flag roll-up highway signs and on trucks, tractors and vans. It is frequently seen in conjunction with Safety Flag "WIDE LOAD" and "OVERSIZE LOAD" banners on tractor-trailers and pickup trucks.
The SFKV18+27 can highlight loads covered with tarps and tonneaus and is sometimes used to identify unusual and hazardous shapes.
The SFKV18+27 is also available in solid fabric. It is discounted on orders of 24 or more.
