Leviton's "Smart" Color-Coded Line Expands with High-Wattage Compact Fluorescent Lampholders (CFL's)
Little Neck, NY, February 5, 2002 - Leviton's "smart" color-coded CFL's are now available in 57-watt (blue) and 70-watt (red) versions, increasing the lamp options available to OEM's. The new high-wattage CFL's provide the same innovative "smart" features that have made Leviton CFL's an industry leader. Color-coded to instantly convey the lamp wattage they accept, the CFL's reduce assembly time, eliminate costly production delays and offer a clear way to organize stock. All 4-pin lampholders automatically reject 2-pin lamps, making it impossible to insert the wrong lamp. Suitable for dimming and electronic ballasts, the CFL's can be used with Leviton lighting controls.
Leviton's High-Wattage CFL's come in a choice of mountings, including bottom snap-in versions designed for the 18- to 20-gauge panels preferred by fixture manufacturers. Rated 75W-600V, they are UL-Listed, CSA- and NOM-Certified. High-wattage CFL's are ideal in many applications, including indoor lighting for retail, commercial and industrial facilities, educational facilities and high-bay fixtures in warehouse stores.
