ifm efector Expands Leveltrak(TM) Sensor Product Line
EXTON, PA. ifm efector inc. has expanded its popular Leveltrak product line to include three types of solid-state sensors for continuous level indication in fluid sensing applications. The new LK8 Series Leveltrak sensor with four switching outputs can replace up to eight float switches. The new LK3 Series Leveltrak sensor offers a 4-20mA or 0-10V analog output and a PNP switching output. The LK7 Series Leveltrak features a dual switching output.
Leveltrak sensors offer continuous level indication and adjustable setpoints. The sensor's 16mm diameter probe is inserted directly into the fluid; sensor fields located down the length of the probe detect the fluid's level. The sensor is ideal for liquids that are difficult to sense, tend to foam up, or leave a residual buildup. The sensitivity of the sensor automatically adapts to the properties of the liquid and the probe is highly resistant to aggressive oils, emulsions and coolants.
Fluid level is directly indicated on the 3-digit numeric LED display that can be programmed to read out in inches or centimeters. Output functions can be setup and adjusted quickly via two push buttons without removing the sensor from the process. The sensor can supply setpoints and resetpoints independently, at essentially any value within the operating range. This feature is ideal for applications that require both low-and high-level signals. The DC units are programmable for normally open and normally closed operations with an accuracy of +/- 5%.
The Leveltrak sensor offers a variety of process connections and probe lengths that adapt to most level sensing applications. The probes are available in three lengths: 10 inches (264mm), 18 inches (472mm), and 28 inches (728mm). For easy installation, a variety of mounting adapters and clamps are available.
