Fluid Jetmill handles 50-500 g batch sizes.

Press Release Summary:

Interchangeable with MC One and MC 50, multipurpose Model MC2 is engineered for micronization of product with typical requested PSD between 0.1 and 20 microns and max starting raw material from 1 mm. System features tri-clover connections and is designed to minimize caking effect and blow-back phenomena. Various optional versions include cryogenic, isolated, LAF, fully automated, and Atex.

Original Press Release:

New MC2 Fluid Jetmill

MC2 fluid Jetmill is the new JETPHARMA GROUP 2" jetmill engineered to lead R&D market in the right scale up direction in terms of product development in line with GMP and FDA requirements. MC2 is a multipurpose micronising Jetmill with very high flexibility towards the different product charachteristic in terms of flowability and requested PSD and it is the natural sequence to Jetpharma's MCOne for the development and study of benefits for micronization process on new products.

The MC2 will be presented at TechnoPharm in Nuernberg fair at the end of March 2007, after having succesfully passed the final optimization test.

The special feature of MC2 is its complete interchangeability with the smaller MC One and the bigger MC 50 current jetmill. Now, all our customers of laboratory jetmilling can buy the new MC2 and completing their range of milling equipment for their laboratory.

MC2 Jetmill has been engineered for optimal batch size between 50 g up to 500 g in order to guarantee higher yeld performance (>99% like the other Jetpharma fluid Jetmills). The MC2 has been specifically studied for micronisation of product with typical requested PSD between 0.1 and 20 microns and maximum starting raw material from 1mm.

The MC2 Jetmill unit has been engineered to be integrated in the Jetpharma PSD scalability program and it has been tested together with Jetpharma production sites, in order to guarantee the quick and easy assembling/disassembling and cleaning of the system being in compliance with cGMPs and following the standard requirements for validation (DQ,IQ,OQ,PQ) and cleaning validation. The MC2 Jetmill chamber has been optimised in order to reduce caking effect and Blow-back phenomena and screws have been totally replaced by tri-clover connections.

The MC2 guarantees the maximum flexibility as adding optional components, the system is able to answer to any possible customer requirements in terms of product characteristic and area installation: different material inserts, Cryogenic application, Isolated version (both for sterile and High Potent application), LAF version, Fully automated version, Atex version.

JETPHARMA GROUP will be present at Tecnopharm 2007, the international trade fair for Life Science Process Technologies (Pharma - Food - Cosmetics) that will take place in Nürnberg, Germany, between the 27th and the 29th of March. Hall 11, Stand 106.
