New DIVA(TM) Flowmeter for Mass or Energy Flow Measurement of Steam
BLYTHEWOOD, SC - February 28, 2003 - Spirax Sarco, Inc. has introduced the DIVA(TM) compact steam flowmeter for general metering applications as well as fiscal metering, product costing, and efficiency monitoring. This cost-effective, direct in-line variable flowmeter produces accurate and repeatable measurement of steam flow over a wide turndown. The DIVA automatically compensates for changes in steam density, providing 4-20 mA and pulsed outputs proportional tc mass or energy flow, as well as real time display of steam pressure, temperature and flow rate in both English and Si units. Meter configuration is quick and simple via the on-board display and code-protected keypad.
Featuring an easily installable wafer design, the unit can be mounted in either vertical or horizontal lines, and requires straight line runs of only six pipe diameters upstream and three downstream. These factors help make the DIVA flowmeter easily installed where other meters, such as orifice plates or vortex meters, cannot be applied.
