The Hot Oil Flowmeter is a durable, positive displacement type flowmeter. It is designed for use in applications where the process temperature may reach 550°F (288°C). This new flowmeter provides visual indication of flow rate between 5 and 40 gallons per minute. Accuracy is +/- 10% of full scale. Maximum operating pressure is 150psi. The connection size is 1"NPT(F) on each end of the meter. The Hot Oil Flowmeter is line-mounted; no additional mounting hardware is needed.
Housing material is carbon steel with black oxide finish. Flow rate is read by noting the location of the indicator ball as it corresponds to the scale etched into the front cover. The flow indicator ball is separated from the process by a high temperature gasket and stainless steel plate. A glass window retains the indicator ball. This flowmeter is designed specifically for hot oil circulating loops in industrial processes.
