Flow Transmitter automatically scales analog output.

Press Release Summary:

Model SI 1004, for liquid and gas applications, adjusts 4 to 20 mA output to open and close valve or adjust speed of pump. Bar-graph display provides local indication of flow rate. Sensor operates on calorimetric principle where cooling effect of flowing fluid is used to monitor flow rate. Transmitter has no moving parts, is packaged in one-piece housing, and has stainless steel wetted parts. It operates in fluid temperatures from -13 to +176°F and pressures up to 4350 psi.

Calorimetric Flow Transmitter Features Automatic Scaling Of Analog Output

EXTON, PA....ifm efector inc. is introducing the SI 1004 flow transmitter for most liquid and gas applications. This compact sensor provides automatic scaling which, with the push of a button, adjusts the unit's 4 to 20 mA output to the low and high flow values in a user's application. This feature makes the units ideal for controlling flow around a specific value by having the transmitter output proportionally open and close a valve or adjust the speed of a pump.

These flow sensors operate on a calorimetric principle where the cooling effect of a flowing fluid is used to monitor the flow rate. There are no moving parts to wear, stick, or break, and the units are packaged in a rugged, one-piece housing with 316 stainless steel wetted components.

The SI1004 can be used in fluid temperatures from -13 to 176°F (-25 to 80°C), and pressures up to 4350 psi (300 Bar). In addition to the analog output, it includes a bar graph display that provides a local indication of flow rate. The unit operates from an input voltage of 20 to 36 VDC. List price is $285.00 U.S. For additional information, contactifm efector inc.782 Springdale DriveExton, PA 19341
