Flow Sensor monitors laminar flow in clean rooms.

Press Release Summary:

SCHMIDT® flow sensor SS 20.515 features single-point fixture that can be adapted to ceiling systems. Sensor tube positions sensor tip at correct distance from LF ceiling, allowing it to be rotated into optimum position. Sensor incorporates smooth sensor tip, without edges, and can be supplied in H2O2 or alcohol disinfection versions. Operating from 24 Vdc/110 mA power supply, sensor has 0-1 m/s measuring range and 4-20 mA output.

SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor SS 20.515

New Product

The new SCHMIDT® flow sensor SS 20.515 was developed especially for laminar flow monitoring in cleanrooms. Users include manufacturing companies in the pharmaceutical, fine chemicals, semiconductor and foodstuff industries.

Its most prominent feature is its ingenious, easy-to-mount single-point fixture, which has been adapted to the most common ceiling systems. Its special sensor tube positions the sensor tip automatically at the correct distance from the LF ceiling, allowing it to be rotated into the most favourable position.

The sensor meets the GMP cleanroom requirements by incorporating a smooth sensor tip without edges on which no contaminants can settle. The sensor can be supplied, as desired, in an H2O2 disinfection (type SS 20.515) or alcohol disinfection (type SS 20.516) version. Its high reproducibility and long-term stability combined with the measuring range start at as low as 0.06 m/s make the sensor ideal for this type of application.

On request the sensor can be delivered with a Factory Calibration Certificate according to ISO 9001. References for the use of the sensor in applications meeting GMP requirements are available on request.

Range of applications
Laminar flow monitoring below LF ceilings, flowboxes and in insulators.
